Why don't you use a relay for the A/B/C/D switcher?

This project is still in development and is currently at the proof of concept stage. This is a sensible suggestion, it just hasn't happened yet. Feel free to spec and build one, then open a PR to add to the repo!

Could I use this project to use my Leaf battery without removing it from the car?

While technically you could potentially make this work over the CHAdeMO connector, finding a suitable connector is prohibitively expensive. For the price of a Chademo connector alone, you can purchase ~10kWh of stationary storage! The scope of this project is battery reuse outside of a vehicle.

Can I buy this as an off-the-shelf unit?

No. This is a DIY project to enable battery reuse. It should be done by competent individuals who understand the risks involved with HV batteries.

For the Leaf data connector, do you have a 3d printable plug suitable for use with the current SSR precharge/contactor setup?
